Many people have difficulty or the inability to swallow pills, a condition known as Dysphagia. This can affect people of all ages, as well as pets and some large animals. When this occurs, and there are no liquid or other alternative medication forms, pills may need to be crushed into a powder and sprinkled into food or mixed into a liquid. Some may have feeding tubes, and medication must be ground into a fine powder to be delivered safely and effectively through their feeding tube. The easiest and most effective way to grind medicines is with a pill grinder or, as some may call it, a pill crusher.

MAXGRIND Lite is a powerful, thoughtfully designed patient-dedicated pill crusher with a dynamic crushing and grinding action that delivers finely crushed medication with ease. It allows medication to be delivered in two ways: into the snap-on bottom clear cup or directly into a 1 oz disposable med cup that fits nicely into the bottom clear cup.

Unlike traditional twist crushers which stop crushing when the top is tightened against the bottom, MAXGRIND features a unique twist design that continues to grind medication when tightened. Once the top is twisted down to initially break and crush pills, a simple reverse twist then slight pressure on the top allows the grinding surface to freely spin similar to a pepper grinder.

The smart crushing surface and design of MAXGRIND allow the crushing and grinding of multiple pills at once with minimal effort. A clear, snap-on bottom cup allows easy viewing and collection of crushed medication. Medication can be easily mixed in a clear cup and emptied into food or drink, or a diluent can easily be added and mixed to draw into a feeding syringe.

Ridges on the grinding surface provide fast, dual-action crushing and grinding. Uniquely shaped and spaced ridges on the top crushing surface both crush and grind medications into a fine powder that is sifted into the bottom serving cup. These ridges are designed so that powder is pushed out and funneled through the crusher into the bottom serving cup, leaving less residue behind which ensures a more complete dose.

The MAXGRIND Lite is easy to use and maintain. The bottom clear cup can be used not only to collect medicine and supplement powder, but you can also add liquid to mix your medications with for even easier administration. The clean-up is easy – simply take off the bottom clear plastic cup and the cap to remove any pill residue from the crusher, rinse with warm water, and let it dry completely before each use to ensure proper grinding action.
